Lowestoft is a traditional seaside resort. The beach south of the Claremont Pier is a Blue flag beach with lifeguard facilities provided during the summer and watersports taking place along the coast. Southwold, one of the most popular resorts on the Heritage coast, is surrounded by creeks, marshes, reed beds and flanked to the south by the Blyth estuary. To visit Southwold is reminiscent of the 19th Century. For beer lovers the town is a must as it is home to the famous Adnams Brewery. In addition it is also famous for its beach huts along the promenade, beach amber, the award winning pier and the lighthouse.
Beccles is a charming market town, as peaceful as it is popular. It is made up of small market squares and winding streets nestled by the River Waveney. Around every corner you’ll find quirky, independent shops, restaurants and cafes. There are plenty of opportunities to take to the river and Broads when you visit Beccles. Hire a canoe, kayak, or day boat and explore on your own or climb aboard a skippered boat and take a guided tour of these placid waterways. If you’d prefer to stay on dry ground, there are plenty of walks to take you through the lush Waveney Valley. Follow the river as it meanders through the pretty Suffolk countryside, or head northwards and explore the Beccles Marshes.
Great Yarmouth is a resort town on the east coast of England. It's known for its long sandy beach. The Time and Tide Museum traces local history. The Nelson Museum focuses on the life of Admiral Horatio Nelson. There are penguins and sharks at the SEA LIFE aquarium. Merrivale Model Village features miniature landscapes and buildings. The Pleasure Beach and Joyland amusement parks have family rides.
Minsmere, Dunwich and North Warren Reserves are all within easy reach of Kessingland and the whole area is ideal for walking, cycling, bird watching and sailing.
